Uber India — overcharged and detailed trip receipt refused | |
My cab was booked by uber ground staff on 16 september 2017 at 6:58pm from kempagowda international airport. I received a text message with driver's detail, see below: Your uber is arriving in 2 mins. Maruti suzuki swift dzire Ka448063. Driver number [protected] Track here https://trip-dc2.uber.com/spGtyI8g7Op The driver 'kumar' asked me to pay rs 125 for toll fee. I disputed as i knew it is added to the bill. He said if it is added then he will adjust the amount. The trip was completed and to my surprise the bill amount was rs1450. I demanded to see the detailed bill and kumar said i will receive the bill by email. I waited and nothing. I contacted uber through their 'help' option and they were unable to trace this trip. This particular trip was not showing under 'my trip' section as i did not book this trip from my phone. Long story short, this driver 1st cancels my trip and charges me rs52 and then accepts the same trip booked by the ground staff. I was very unhappy and yet to receive the detailed trip receipt for this journey. I am also very shocked that uber is unable to trace a ride booked by uber ground staff, especially from the airport. What if a passenger is picked up by a cab booked by uber ground staff and gets killed or robbed? Can they track that ride? This Uber cab (KA 01 AG 3942) driver cut me (I was in my car) suddenly from right. I had to swerve to left and I almost hit a bike. Pls advise him to drive properly. This happened today (Sep 11, 2017) at Sivananda Circle in Bangalore around 6:15 pm.
