Uber India — paid driver in cash already | |||
I tried booking a cab using uber app on 17th dec., but i couldn't as it was showing that i had an outstanding bill to pay, (A ride on the 4th if nov.). I have already paid the driver by cash. However, i don't know why this is not being updated in your system. That evening, after booking the cab and on receiving the call from the driver, he told me that i was paying by card and seemed to suggest that i cancel my trip. I didn't want to cancel my trip as i was in a hurry. And so i told him that i would be making a cash payment. Moreover, i have heard many instances where drivers in guwahati decline rides made by card or paytm. And i didn't see a problem if i'd be paying by cash, although i don't know what difficulty he would face i[censored] had done so by card. Maybe he needed the money, i don't know but i didn't question him. I understood that sometimes we need access to hard cash. In the days that have passed, i was not made aware of the situation and hence couldn't follow up on the situation. I didn't book a ride up until the 17th of this month. Now, the uber app is obviously not allowing me to book a ride as it shows that i have an outstanding bill. I would request uber to please check the car camera and listen to my conversation with the driver to verify that i have made cash payment for my ride. I would, under no circumstances try to dupe or cheat someone of their hard earned cash and that too for such a paltry amount. Besides, i am very happy to use uber services and would want to continue to do so. I would suggest uber please get in touch with the driver and look into the matter and solve it as soon as possible.
