Today morning as usual i tried for uberpool (I'm a regular user) from my home in nangallur to office in navallur. The fare was in surge at 9.30 it showed 340 so i logged from home and took office call. Later at 9:50 the fare was 220 so i booked. The driver came from airport with another pool user to my location. When i alighted he asked me the fare, destination and mode of payment. When i said 220 for navalur, card payment he cancelled the booking and started the jourey he asked me to change the payment mode when i tried i noticed it said driver cancelled. Then he asked me reestimate and pay the amount in cash in stead of booking. I said the reestimate is 360 so i will alinght and work from home. I should have done that because after going some distance from my home he said give me 300 i will drop to your office. I shoould have got down but my fate i took the journey and all along thinking what a fool i am. It's a big learning for me in life. Now this driver got another booking near 200 feet road and he did the same thing with the couple going to kamakshi hospital. After reaching their place on seeing them he cancelled the booking. Then went saying that since they didn't come on time he cancelled and went from their house to next street. Then from there he called them to check where they are going as they said kamatchi hospital he said i'm going on the same route so he will take them and pay on cash. After alighting he asked them to restimate, but the consumer was very strong and his destination is nearby so he didn't care to restimate and scolded him that he has cancellation fee of rs. 30 and his original estimate fare is 40 only so will pay only 10. Then the driver said the he did a big service by taking them so pay him 40 and take the cancellation with uber support. Then they did the same to avoid argument and went away. The journey continued and the first pool user alignted at sholinganallur. After dropping him he got 3 pool customer all going in the reverse direction to my drop point (If i had my booking it wouldn't have happened. That is my learning not to take ride without any booking at any cost). He took all 3 of them dropped them to their destinations and finally reached my destination navalur at 12:15pm. I asked him to stop in the opposite side of the road don't want to take any more chances. When i alighted i said i will pay rs.220 only the inital booking amount he said he never saw that amount as that is cancelled and i need to pay rs. 300. I said i will give rs. 300 but he needs to pay rs. 30 back (Driver cancellation fee) and also i will take your photo and complaint in the public forum. He said he doesn't care and hence this complaint. I'm doing this because i gave him a choice to reform but he didn't and he said he doesn't care about consumer feedback. It's a big learning to me and by spreading this information i think other consumers will be more careful when they encounter such an incident. The driver name is hemakumar, vechicle tata indigo tn 87 3070. Attaching his photos as well. Beware of this unprofessional driver!
