Unichem — Untrustworthy staff

Dear Sir / Ma’am, I am writing to you to make a complaint regarding my treatment and misinformation by two of your pharmacists and one of your pharmacy assistants when buying nicotine cartridges from your pharmacy on Queen street from Glynis Youoclls. On 2 occasions I have been mis-sold nicotine cartridges by the staff members. On the first occasion I asked for smokes / nicotine and was given an empty packet. When I asked for a full packet I was eventually given packet of non- nicotine cartridges. This seems like an easy mistake as I was in a rush given the time it took to communicate what I wanted. Especially given the fact that the assistant barely spoke English and possibly that the product is new. On the second occasion I had to ask for the product again because it was hidden away and asked why it is simply not just put behind the counter so that the customer can simply ask. Upon opening the packet I checked it and found it was not what I had asked for. So I took them back and asked for a refund. I was informed that I could not have a refund for the following reasons. Please note my points regarding this The pharmacy is there to promote health. As I understand it nicotine replacement therapy is a healthy choice. The packet was opened. Yes this is true. However I took the entire product back and said it was an easy mistake to make on all our behalves and that after occurring on two occasions it would be professional to offer a refund on at least one of the packets. I was told that I was rude to the staff members. I can only assume that this means that I complained. I am unaware that complaining and asking for a refund was rude. That my description of the product was not specific enough. For this reason I spoke to the pharmacist on the first occasion as the assistant could barely understand me. I would also have thought that the staff members are there to advise me on the product I am buying. Asking me if I wished to buy cartridges that have no nicotine in them would have been easy and saved a lot of time I was also informed that it was illegal to sell nicotine in the pharmacy. I said that I was being lied to as I had already bought the cartridges from another pharmacy. I also double checked this with another pharmacy who said that this was untrue. As well as this when I asked if I could make a complaint I was told to go to the parent company, and the pharmacist at first refused to offer her name and registration number so that I could make a complaint. I eventually got it after complaining more. Hopefully you will take heed of the fact that I have been misinformed, mis-sold, dismissed and especially ripped off by people that I should trust to sell me products that are controlled. Can you please respond to my complain. Further to this I will not be using your pharmacy or any outlets from now on until I have received a reasonable response as my perception is that your pharmacists are untrustworthy. Best wishes Marc Stenzil Marc.[protected]@gmail.com
