[Resolved] Vodafone — Deduction of balance for activation of Caller Tune Without Consent. | |
Upon receiving a message that a request was received to activate a caller tune and deduction of 33 rupees balance, we contacted the VI's so called "professional" agent through chat. I will share the screenshots of the chat, to show the sheer absurdity of that conversation. Not only were they not helpful at all, they also proved to be highly unprofessional. The use of sir and ma'am does not make one a professional but your conduct does. The first time the chat timed out, so I contacted again, this time the agent (Agent Jithin) took too long to reply and repeatedly told me to wait and as i waited the conversation timed out because there was no action taken from the agent's side. (Now this could have been a mistake or they did this because they didn't know how to resolve the issue) When asked why the transaction happened they kept trying to pin it on me, even though I had not sent any request. And yes, i am aware about certain things such as not to click or tap on "ok or yes' when pop up appear. An advertising gimmick propagated by the same company. Meanwhile, there was no option to talk to a agent on a phone, my request for the same was repeatedly ignored. We understand the grave economical situation that VI is facing, and have stood by the company so long, but does not mean that they get to make transactions without consent? How will there be any trust left, all we can do is move on to JIO, atleast they understand consent on some level. To tell you the truth, none of you are doing a decent job of being a 'network service provider'. There's rarely any network. Verified Support Jan 05, 2021 Vodafone India Customer Care's response Dear Customer, As per our records the deduction was done for a Caller tune which is only deducted when some kind of services is used by customer on their consent.
