[Resolved] Vodafone India — billed for excessive data usage | |
I have been a very old vodafone customer and my profession required me to travel overseas for around 1 to 2 weeks every month for years. When overseas my phone was always 'on' as i needed to be in touch with my family (Old parents). Despite this my data usage was not high and the bill was reasonable. This was the period when the rates were high and no packages were available. Suddenly in 2017 i was out for just 3 days and had my phone off most of the time and was shocked to receive a bill of over rs 60000/. Since i maintain all old records i tried to reason out with them with facts and figures but they refused to even respond and only kept repeating like a parrot that they have a perfect monitoring system. They followed all harassment practices like calling at all times, threatening sending me mails every month. And finally they have disconnected my phone. They have finally filed an application before lok pal which is fine. The hearing is coming up this month Was this information helpful? | |
