[Resolved]  Vodafone — Vodafone cheating me for moving to Airtel

Vodafone teams have been cheating me for moving to Airtel. They have been bullying me to pay again the money their employees have stolen and threatening me to pay else they will get my number discontinued.

Now my number is disconnected at Airtel. Is there a cell between Airtel and Vodafone that will resolve such issues or is consumer court my only option?

Background:

I recently transferred my mobile number +[protected] from Vodafone. All bills were paid and the number was moved to Airtel with Vodafone approval for full payment. But, after I transferred, they raised a bogus fraudulent bill for "Premium number charge" of Rs.1694.92 which was never charged in earlier nor was the number sold as premium number to me.

This additional bill was issued after I gave them reason for move from Vodafone to Airtel. Looks like Vodafone are adopting such unsavoury tactics to penalize people from moving from Vi.

Also, I had paid their guys (Veeramani and M.Sundaram from Ambatur store) Rs.1800, but the first bill did not show the amount paid. They said they will check on it, but nothing was done. After which covid lockdown happened and I did not follow up further. But, the moment I moved my number, Vi raises a bill showing only part payment (Rs.1271.19) and the difference of Rs.423.73 as due.

1. Vodafone billing team and customer service teams have not raised any complaint on this issue I raised. I have so far spoken to 50 odd people at Vodafone but no complaint was Registered by them. Given the number has moved, even am unable to raise a complaint.

2. Vodafone is not taking responsibility of their employee's theft and has not investigated on the internal money squandering instead has been harassing me for months to get me pay again.

3. In fact, The Vodafone billing and customer care teams did not even give me the name and contact of the guy who sold the number to me; as I do not remember the person name anymore (after 7+ months) they are taking advantage of it. But, I personally tracked their employee down and provided name above ( M.Sundaram from Ambatur store).

Airtel team @ Please note when I spoke to Airtel showroom at Thillaiganga nagar Chennai, they said since the problem is at Vi, they cannot raise any ticket at Airtel for this.

I need immediate help to solve this and my number reactivated without any further charge to me. Also, for the period of deactivation I request Airtel not to charge me.
