Volercars — volercars refusing to submit money back after failing to provide service | |
I had booked a car, pick up at Kolkata, through the website of volercars, in the month of July, 2019. A day later I received a phone call from the company claiming that their Kolkata office has been shut down and consequently they will not be able to provide me with the service I have already been charged for. Note this: their services in Kolkata have shut down at this point, but they have kept booking open for the city on their website. It is nearing the end of September now, a full two months since the debacle. I have yet to receive the refund which I was initially promised would be processed within 15 days. The lies however did not end here. I have a chain of emails since then where vague promises have been made, which even in their vagueness has proved over time to be faulty. It is clearly evident from the mails that there is no genuine information forthcoming from the employees of the company. This is systemic hoarding of customer's money, with unashamed lies and false promises put down in writing with complete disregard for possible legal consequences. Was this information helpful? | |
