[Resolved] Volkswagen India — battery failure within 365 +56 days in polo 1.5tdi | |||
To report a bitter experience on the battery my family had to face yesterday evening, everything was going well and fine with the vehicle but from yesterday morning my wife noticed a delay in cranking, later in the evening after coming from work she was not able to restart the car as it beeped couple of times and remained silent without any response. Upon contacting the breakdown team and their physical inspection they confirmed and adviced for battery change. It is really embarrassing, is that the life of a battery from vw...? I have owned many other brands but this is the first incident in my whole life a battery asked for replacement within 1yr and 2 months infact it is not yet 2 months (Deliv date 24/01/2018). So should we assume the quality of all the parts similar to the battery life in a premium car like vw polo? Also came to understand you wont provide warranty for the battery as i have passed 1yr and 56 days. Ok, it is good to know that rules and principles are followed strictly but why did not the service personals understand the battery weakness at the time of service? It was marked as battery inspected and bla bla.. At the time of annual service, even i was charged a sum of 14k for the 1st periodic service which felt to be really on a higher side, still why customers are not treated or addressed properly at such instances?
