The Salem VW service center called me for periodical service and informed service center in Hosur can do as I am located in Hosur.
My vehicle TN29 BC 4777 was took for service on 7-Jan-2022 and it was handed over to me on 10-Jan, while handover I found all warning indicating in the cluster and informed to the service center and visited back on same day to rectify the problem.
The service center checked and unable to recity it as the software isn't ready at Hosur service station. And as tested and informed by service center the performance of my car was good enough to travel to Salem service center to rectify the issues. Also same was communicated and confirmed with Salem branch Manager to proceed further.
I visited Salem service center to rectify the problem on 12-Jan and they couldn't rectify within same day and informed needed additional days to check the vehicle and can continue the travel now and return the vehicle after my travel as traveling with my family and performance of vehicle had no impact to anywhere.
So I started my travel in evening from Salem service center and continued my travel for 62km and in Attur my vehicle got flames from the dashboard and started fire and we extinguished the fire and informed to Salem service center. The manager and his team came to Attur by @10pm and recover the vehicle using the recovery van back to Salem service center.
Note: as informed to the service team the wrong rating fuse was mounted by the service center and it is the root cause for the fire from the fuse area.
After several followups Manager requested me to help with the insurance to claim and clear the issues and same was initiated from my end. And almost 2months as of now no prompt updates from the service team and everyday they inform will ready this week and next week. Atlast now insurance also had no clarity and now informed by service center that cluster was imported and wi take time to get it. Almost 2 months and everyday I only received different information and no prompt updates so now my confidence on the service center was lost.
After 2 months now seems they trying to turn all the faluts to my end which is really not acceptable and as a VW service center the trustworthy become a question mark now.
