Volkswagen India — Volkswagen Deccan Mody Uppal Betrayed at the time of sales and delivered vehicle with major scratches.
I have booked Volkswagen Taigun 1.5 Ltr GT Plus on 04/08/2022 at Volkswagen Deccan Mody Uppal branch and got a quotation of 20, 38, 200/- on road.
The sales person Shiva and Ashok convinced me a lot for booking this vehicle at 20, 38, 200/- by saying they kept very less margin with dealer price just to sent the vehicle to the market.
I have called them multiple times before delivery confirmed on the price they quoted, even on the sales agreement form and WhatsApp communications they have mentioned 20, 38, 200/- as on road price.
I was on the way to pick my vehicle on 13th Aug 2022 and received a call from Shiva saying that my price has been increased to 22, 45, 000/-
I was shocked and surprised of their behaviour at last moment ( by then I have already paid them 5 lacks as down payment ) and questioned them on the price hike. They have involved their sales manager Ravi ( I haven’t spoken to this person from booking time to delivery time ) on the call who used abusive language and also said when you can’t afford 2 lacks extra why do you have to buy a car.
That day was my anniversary and It was a surprise gift for my wife. I wanted to take delivery on that day and don’t want to disappoint my wife since it is our first car.
At last after many discussions and arguments the dealer said they will fire the employees whoever involved in this matter on immediate basis ( but they have not taken any action on them till date ) I had to take the car for 22, 00, 000/- with no other option left.
I have seen many scratches on my new car at the time of delivery while going out from showroom and questioned them about it. Later they tried removing the scratches which dint work and they have agreed for replacement.
The major scratches were on dashboard and hornpad.
Now a week back they have confirmed that they have procured the replacement and I have sent the vehicle.
They took a whole week time for changing the dashboard alone and the new dashboard is also having scratches and hornpad is unchanged without any intimation.
Also there are some other minor issues which I have highlighted while giving vehicle and they were not addressed at all.
I am surprised that I never got any feedback call from Volkswagen even at the time of sales or at the time of service.
I am very disappointed and feel like I am betrayed. Worst ever experience from Volkswagen and I really want someone from Volkswagen to address the issue on priority.
