[Resolved]  Voltas — Defective split ac voltas 183cy case of dev sharma _ tri nagar

I did a big mistake in my life when i bought a voltas split ac 2 years ago thinking it to be so called world class product and since then my mental agony has not stopped following up with service cetre.
It fails every 5-6 months (I have no wonder how voltas is making huge profits from service of acs-it is substandard to fail every season, and customer is bound to either buy amc or pay for annual service)
In my case it is failing every 5th month.
1. Unit was bought in feb’15
2. Failed with-in 2 months of purchase job no. [protected] (Repair works done on odu)
3. Again failed after 3 months from last repair job no. [protected] (Odu replaced)
4. Again failed in april’16 (Idu replaced with assurance of warranty extension that unit will serve without failure atleast 2 seasons)
5. Unit failed 4th time sep’16 (5 months from previous replacement of idu-repairs accepted and engineers came and spoiled entire coil and burned the locking cabinet-photos and videos attached)
6. Units failed 5th time march’17 (Within warranty extension period)

This is enough i have had experimentation with my product.
The conclusion is voltas ac is a substandard and cannot withstand indian conditions even for 5-6 months.
Voltas is cheating customers by selling substandard products as acs are normally used for 5-6 months in year in north india.

This is my final communication with voltas either

• replace my entire unit (Idu and odu with a brand new one with new warranty)
• refund my entire purchase amount as i am already fed up with substandard quality of products and abusive and un professional behaviour of service professional specially mr yadav who do not have any ethics and understanding how to speak to a customer

5 times failure within 2 years are good enough as a proof and evidence to prove into consumer court the standards of quality of voltas.

If none of the above 2 solutions are not agreed upon i would have no other options but to go for legal proceedings under ipc

1. Section 415 in the indian penal code of deceiving with substandard products failing 5 times in 2 years
2. Charge sheet to be filed by the police / cbi in the court of chief metropolitan magistrate for offences punishable under sections 120b, 420, 409, 468 and 471 of indian penal code to ensure the magistrate take cognizance of the offences and summoned the accused to stand trial.

Background :
1. There has been intent to intentionally cause damage / harm to mr dev sharma on economic grounds, reputation, damage of property.
2. During the service visit by asi mr. Jitender chharia along with technician it was found that the lock was not functioning due to repetitive manufacturing and service defect. (Attached photographs)
3. No response of replacement of full unit even after registering case with customer care. (Received a message stating informing to get the unit repaired even after continuous failure within last 2 years)
