My name is harathi poluru. I came to barbados, usa in october 2017. I came here to study md course in washington university of barbados through a vijayawada consultancy 'career plus'.
This consultancy told us i got admission for 'belize medical college'.in the last few days, they changed the college to 'washington university of barbados' saying my admission didn't get finalised in belize.
Only after coming here i realised that the consultancy and college cheated us. Consultancy told the college is running from 10 years and have certifications.
When i researched about the college, even their website showed those certifications. After coming here, i got to know that the college is missing some major certifications.
Even the college confirmed they are trying for a major certification but don't have one yet.
If the college doesn't have this certification then i won't be able to do my medical practitioning in usa and some countries.
After realising that we were cheated, i asked them to send me back and refund my money in january.
They told i should pay more 4 lakhs to go.
This college also lacks proper study culture.
My father is longer with us and for this md course, my both sisters took a loan which they are still paying.
After i asked them to give me back my money, they are refusing to give and also stopped providing food here.
My mother has contacted a lawyer and he told that we should consult lawyer in us. We have sent a legal notice to the college but they are still refusing to pay. If i have to file a court case it will cost me more than i can afford.
Please help me out of this situation. I want to go back to india.
