[Resolved]  Whirlpool India — Cooling not working

We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 20th April 2015 from Pai International, Hubballi, Karnataka. Bill No. 0324384.[protected] K 313D Proton Royal Alpha Steel).

We noticed that the cooling has stopped since last two days and hence got in touch with the service center. The technician said that the compressor has to be replaced.

We were told at the time of purchase that it had 10 years warranty. Now the technician here is saying that the warranty lasts for 5 years only. Also, he is saying that we will have to pay Rs. 2250 for filling the gas and Rs. 450 as service charge. One of your executives qouted Rs. 1500 for gas refill. Which of them is right? Why do we have pay so much? What does your 10 year warranty cover then? Any local repair guy would do the job for Rs. 500-600.

We tried to get in touch with the helpline no., where our queries were not answered. We tried to escalate the issue but never got a proper response. Moreover the call center executive spoke very rudely. We are very much disappointed with your service. We chose Whirlpool as we thought it to be a reliable brand. But now we are starting to regret our decision.

Hope, we will get a proper response to our query in writing.
