[Resolved] Whirlpool India — Poor service and service personnel | |||
I wish to bring to the notice of consumers that the service standards of whirlpool are very poor in bangalore, where i reside. More than a fortnight back i had registered a complaint about the poor cooling of my 220 ltr, double door refrigerator. A technician came to my house promptly. However, he did not even examine the refrigerator. He just opened the doors and said i had to pay 3500 rupees to get gas refilling done. I brought it to his notice that the same refilling had been done only two years ago, in april 2015, at the same price. His response was telling. He said it was my wish whether to get it done or not. And then he said "you will get a call from the person who fills the gas. Tell him you don't want it." my question is: how did he know even before he had examined my fridge that the problem had to do with the gas? I wrote an e-mail to the company registering a complaint. They called me and said the problem would be attended by their most senior technician. Unfortunately, this person happens to be the same person who had come to my house earlier. He called me and cheekily said that if i did not want to fill gas no one would come and attend to my problem. Further, he added that i could complain all i want to their company. Subsequently i learnt that whirlpool has franchisees who do their servicing. And these franchisees employ only a few personnel for each locality. While i do not wish to comment on their business model, i wish that whirlpool will ensure that customer complaints are handled better by their service personnel. I wish to state that i have been a whirlpool customer for two decades. And have both their washing machine and refrigerator. But now i am planning to exchange my whirlpool refrigerator for another company's. Thank you. Was this information helpful? | |||
