[Resolved] Whirlpool India — refrigerator caught fire | |||
We have purchased whirphool refrigerator in 2013 from reliance digital. Few days ago it caught fire from inside. The fire was so intense that it melted the inner parts but the effect was not visible outside. Since the effect the visible outside we could not do anything to save ourselves. This could have lead to blast and it was a matter concerning our lives. Black fumes were created which was suffocating. We raised our complaint to you people on 3.11.2018 and your technician visited an took 400 bucks (without issuing proper invoice) just for looking at it. He went away after taking few pictures and assured to provide proper solution of the same. We have been tracking them, the area manager, whirphool complaint cell via call but no response is received. Once the area manager told that the company shall replace the sameas it is the matter of life. Now he has stopped taking our calls. To our surprise your person called up today to tell us that the we should take up the matter with Reliance Digital because you have purchased it from them and whirphool have made mutual agreement with Reliance Digital that if any complaint comes in the product of whirphool, Reliance Digital will take care of the same. Now my questions are:- 1. Who is responsible for the damage Reliance Digital or whirphool, 2. Who will take the blame if that blast would have taken our lives, 3. Why customer should suffer because of these two, 4. If there is such agreement why can't they give us the copy/ public notice of the same, 5. Why the matter is taking so long, that too after regular follow up, 6. Who is responsible for the mental harassment we are facing. Please take this matter urgently.
