[Resolved] Whirlpool India — unethical behaviour | |||
Bought top loading fully automatic washing machine in nov 2017. Last month i.e in august 2018, its top lid got off / the pasting of the top lid /cap detached from the machine which was pasted with double tape. Its a design /product fault. Now the company is asking for Rs 1850 for the repair saying that its a plastic part and would not covered under warranty. I don't want to pay this amount since the machine is still in under warranty and top lid is detached due to poor quality of the tape or design. secondly the lid is not neither broken nor tempered with, then why should i pay for company poor quality product design. Last but not least, what's the guarantee that if its repaired, it will not happen again because as per my understanding the design of the machine lacks basic understanding of weight and mass. Double tape could not hold that much of weight. The whirlpool guy also accepted that this is a regular complaint with this model. I request a replacement for this model or complete refund.
