[Resolved]  Whirlpool India — whirlpool washing machine serious quality issue

I had purchased whirlpool washing machine with much hope and belief in brand value and quality.
But after three to four year o[censored]se, it started giving problem.
It is generating too much noise in spin cycle. So, I contacted whirlpool customer care.
I was informed that, it will be charged 450 INR for inspection only, isn’t it too much for only inspection??
But no problem, I agreed to it. One technician visited and he told that bearing is damaged and it will be charged around 6000 INR.
I was shocked, what! Bearing cost is around half of the washing machine!!!
And how come it got damaged in three to four year of general use, isn’t this is a serious quality issue??
I checked with my other friends and colleagues and they strongly suggested against whirlpool washing machine as they have went through this experience.
There are some questions in my mind that has to be answer by whirlpool.
1.) How come bearing is failing so early and so frequently? Sure, it’s not a quality parts and if so how they are charging approx half of the machine cost?

2.) Washing machine prime mover is having 10 year warrantee and part price is only 2000 INR. Isn’t warrantee should be on costly parts and not cheap to replaceable part. If isn’t the case then highlighting 10 years warrantee is only gimmick and fooling the customer.

3.) New 6000 INR bearing warrantee is having only three months warrantee. This clearly shows the whirlpool itself has no confidence on its parts. And they are looting the customer by supplying low quality products.

I have talked too many in my social circle and it was quite clear that whirlpool is not only supplying cheap quality products but also overcharging the customer for the spare parts which are of equally bad quality.
Whirlpool should give proper explanations of the issue raised above. And stop cheating customer.

I have given e-mail to whirlpool help desk and even to their MD but no one have even thought of replying to my concern.

My simple suggestion is don’t buy whirlpool product, they will last till warrantee period then they will simply loot you. And no one will bother replying you in whirlpool India.
