[Resolved] Whirlpool — wrong service | |||
Water draining problem in top load washing machine Sr no : cn[protected] dated 15.09.18 The complaint was attended only on 25.09.18 from “ sri sastha enterprises “ thoraipakkam, chennai – 97. The service person analysed and advised to change the drain motor for proper functioning of the machine. He said it would cost around rs 2500 (Inclusive of service charge). He guranteed 6 months for the new spare part and 1 month warranty for the service. Since i felt it was reasonable and changed as per his advice and paid rs 2407 on 25.09.18. (Bill copy attached) Water leaking problem Sr no : cn[protected] dated 17.10.18 After 20 days of the first service i had problem of water sprinkling from the bottom of machine which was not there before changing the drain motor. The service person from the same service centre said oil seal in the centre hub of the machine has to be replaced to solve the problem which would cost appox. Rs 4500. Since it was not a major issue for me and the machine was in working condition. Also the service spare part cost was not reasonable and acceptable i did not want to repair Water draining problem Sr no : cn [protected] dated 22.10.18 But now, less than a month of changing the drain motor, the problem of draining has recurred. Now the machine is not functioning. Again i had raised a complaint, but i didn’t get any call from the service partner till 23.10.18. So i contacted “ sri sastha enterprises “ on 23.10.18 morning at 10 am and 6 pm. The service person did not come till now. They contacted me through phone at 9 pm on 23.10.18 and asking to change the oil seal instead of attending the problem. They are saying the problem is now central hub and because of that the draining problem is there. All this details were only conveyed through phone conversation without inspection. The water leaking problem was only after changing the new drain motor. I am not convinced with the whirpool service. If the problem was with the oil seal in the central hub they could have analysed the problem properly and informed us before changing the drain motor. We would not have changed the drain motor unnecessarily for rs 2407. Now they are asking to change oil seal in centre hub at rs 4500 to make the machine work. It is not acceptable to ask a customer to bear rs 7000 to repair a 7 year old machine without any guarantee on the service and does not make any sense on spending. The service person did not identify the fault properly and made to incur of rs 2407, which did not solve the problem. Now i am very much burdened with a machine which is not working even after spending rs 2407 as per your service partner advice. I request you to contact the service partner and ask them to take back the newly fitted drain motor and refund the amount for wrong service provided. Was this information helpful? | |||
