[Resolved]  www.FreeRecharge.in — Failed Recharge | No refund | No response

Hello, I tried recharging for 297 INR on 10/11/2015 on my Vodafone Mumbai prepaid for 1GB 3G data which failed but money was charged from my bank account. Please see attached screenshot of my statement which shows the amount was debited. I immediately sent an email to [protected]@freecharge.com informing the fail recharge wherein they responded to me : **Thanks for writing to us. We've just filed a support "Ticket # 2239003" for your reference. One of our agents will be in touch with you with-in 6 hrs (or sooner)** Another email was sent to me few minutes ago: **We understand you're worried about the deduction that happened from your account for a recharge that you had attempted. As per our records, your payment for the order (FCVW[protected]) has not been processed. In case the payment is successfully processed by our payment partner within a few hours, your recharge will also be processed and you will receive the notification of the same via email. Alternatively, if this is a case of payment transaction failure and your money has been deducted from your bank account, the amount will be auto-refunded to your bank directly within 5-7 business days. There is nothing to worry about, your money is completely safe with us in all cases and if your refund is not received within 5-7 bank working days, please let us know and we will look into it immediately.** Today is 21st of October and it is more than 5-7 business days, i have not yet heard any responses neither i have got any refund. i tried sending email with the ticket number asking for an update multiple times but no responses till date. Please refund my money back or at-least send me the recharge. Hope someone can help me to resolve this. Roshan Alex +91-[protected]

I emailed them today advising that i am going to take Legal action for cheating as i have proof. within minutes they responded that they have refunded the amount.

Wow i got this resolved.

They refunded the amount back as soon as i posted the complaint i immediately got an email see below.

Dear Roshan,

We understand you're concerned about the deduction that happened from your account for a recharge that you had attempted.

At times, even when the payments are successfully processed by our payment gateway, it may not reflect on our records immediately. Hence, there was a delay in the confirmation of the payment. However, now we have been able to trace the payment and can confirm that we have received the payment for this particular transaction (order ID FCVW[protected]).

The amount (Rs. 297) has therefore, now been refunded to your FreeCharge Balance. You can check these under https://account.freecharge.in/app/wallet/

We assure you that such delays doesn't generally happen on FreeCharge and even when it does, it will get refunded in the form of FreeCharge Balance almost immediately.
