My mother twisted her ankle and her foot swelled immediately. I rushed to this Hospital in Emergency ward and did the x-rays prescribed by the available doctor/medical officer. He informed us that it's just swelling no fracture or anything major has happened however asked us to put up a plaster. After 5 days when we revisited Dr. Abhisar diagnosed a fracture from the same x ray reports and after cutting the old plaster asked the team to put it back (the old one) and informed us to wait for the swelling to vanish and prescribed medicines. When asked why we were misinformed the proud replied came from him that the one we met is just a medical officers and they are for basic treatments only. Anyway, we soaked the lame answer and purchased the medicines prescribed by him. On our third visit, this doctor asked us to go to emergency ward where he will check the condition of the foot. We waited for him in Emergency ward to discuss about the plaster which got ultra loose in last 6 days and caused extra pain and irritation to my mother's foot. To my shock he entered in the room with nose in the air and started shouting at hospital staff for not removing the plaster yet. They told him that patient wanted to wait for him and there he lost it completely. He very arrogantly and angrily told us that its not his job to cut the plaster. This is where he crossed the line. When I questioned his insane behavior he further said he is having 102 fever..Excuse me!!! Does fever gives you a license to ill treat and shout at your patients. After this whole episode I went out of the room since my mother had to be examined. I was completely taken aback when this person left the room in just 20 seconds and didn't prescribed any medicines for the patient.
Evidently, I'm never going to visit this hospital again. But will make a point here: " A patient respect a doctor not because he/ she is inferior to them but because patients feel grateful for their treatment and services".
