[Resolved] Yatra Online / Yatratrip.in — Irresponsible behaviour and not refunding money which the consumer lost due to their carelessness | |||||
I booked a package from yatra for thailand. I had a horrible experience altogether with yatra, not to forget because of how my agent handled the booking. 1. My VISA could not be processed from INDIA itself. I called up my agent to schedule a pickup for VISA documents which was done comfortably but After he received my documents and that too just before 4 days from the trip he had the guts to say my visa could not be processed now. He did not have the sense to let me know beforehand only that if i submit my documents after a particular day my VISA would not be processed then. He even ensured me when i scheduled the pickup that he will try to get it done till 14th december!!I had to go for visa on arrival which costed me 2000 BAHT for 2 people. He still had the audacity to argue with me over that even when he had not informed me correctly. 2. I had booked a tour for phi phi island also which was initially not mentioned in the package confirmation voucher that he gave me. I HAD TO REMIND HIM TO PUT IT THERE OR ELSE MY INCLUSION WOULD HAVE GONE WASTE 3. After the VISA problem, he said that my hotels had been upgraded. After reaching thailand i came to know that the hotels that i was offerred were actually downgraded from what i was offered previously. I WAS TOLD EARLIER WHEN I ASKED TO CHANGE MY HOTELS MYSELF THAT MY HOTELS HAD BEEN "RE-CONFIRMED" AND THEY CANT BE CHANGED NOW, THEN HOW COULD THEY DOWNGRADE MY HOTELS FROM SUPERIOR TO STANDARD ALL OF A SUDDEN. I had a beach resort earlier with superior garden rooms and later the hotel that i was given that too with standard rooms had room size that was so highly uncomfortable. Changing hotels 3 days prior to the trip...seriously!!! 4. The tour timing in bangkok were changed without any notice due to which we had to wait for 2 hours. 5. When i was checking out from the bangkok hotel, to my utter surprise I WAS CHARGED A LATE CHECK-OUT FEE of 1600 BAHT, because according to the voucher that i was provided, we had bookings till 25th december, 2016 but according to the hotel records we had our booking till 24thdecember, 2016 and since we were checking out at 4:00pm on 24th, we were being charged late checkout fee which was clearly all my agent, s fault again because he provided me with wrong package details all along. 5. When all this happened, The local agent that i was given in thailand told me on call that i should pay the late checkou fee as of now and he had talked to people in India and i will get back my refund in India which HAS NOT HAPPENED TILL NOW. 6. When i called my agent regarding this after coming back, he as usual was not ready to accept his mistake. I called him so many times for 2 weeks to talk to his manager but he always had some excuse. Whenever he said he would call me back HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK EVER. ONLY I HAD TO RING HIM ALWAYS. He never called back..never responded for any email..did not process my booking properly..he never had proper answer to any of my queries. I dont know why he was hired in the first place when he does not know how to do his job. 7. Till date i am trying to talk to the managment but they are not evn ready to accpt their employee's mistake. I need my refund of 1600+2000=3600 BAHT that i had to spend and waste because of that fellow. Cut it from his pocket or whatever because it was always his carelessness and irresponsible behaviour that costed me so much. Was this information helpful? | |||||
