You Broadband India — Malhandling of new connection and subsequent refund request
On Jan 3, 2017 - I had made payment via Paytm to a You Broadband representative (sales executive name: Senthil Kumar) for a new connection. For one week, I was ping ponged between sales person and technical team saying they will get back and provide connection the next day. But I never got the connection.
On Jan 10, 2017 - I called the You Broadband helpline ([protected]) and asked for refund as no work was done for my connection. They told that someone from You Broadband will get back in 48 hours and that I should get my refund in 7-10 working days. I did not get a call back from them.
On Jan 12, 2017 - I called You Broadband helpline again and got the same response that someone from You Broadband will get back in 48 hours. But no one has called me yet.
During this time, I wrote multiple emails to the email provided on their website (customercare.[protected]@youbroadband.co.in) along with their sales email (onlinesales.[protected]@youbroadband.co.in) but there has been no response whatsoever.
On Jan 21, 2017 - When I called their helpline, they told me that when I had first raised the refund request on Jan 10, my account was not created. But now my account has been created and it will take 22 bank working days for my refund!
So, you broadband has continuously not taken my request seriously and provided bad/no service. Why did they create my account after my request for refund? Especially when till to this date, no one from their customer service or technical team has even bothered to call me for update?
My time and money got wasted on multiple calls and emails to You Broadband. Will You Broadband pay for that?
Will I get interest on my money for the delay in their processing my refund request?
In the first place, at least how can I be assured of my refund? I do not trust You Broadband anymore to take positive action.
