Zomato — amount refund issue | |
I made an order in zomato and paid the whole amount through wallet. While the order was on progress, i made another order but it was taking too much time for order confirmation. So i decided to cancel the first order but mistakenly cancelled the second order. I unmediately tried to contact the customer service agent but my zomato app was not working properly and i couldn’t see the msgs from the other side. Even though i couldn’t see the msgs, i explained my scenario that i mistakenly cancelled the order but no actions were taken. Also my amount was not refunded. The food was not delivered. They can charge cancellation fee but taking the whole amount is not fair. A middle class person like me who struggles to save penny need justice from these “money eating devils”. I tried to contact zomato support team with screenshots of the issue i faced, but they were not ready to refund the amount. Then they should have atleast delivered the food. If zomato describes themselves as a service provider, then that shouldn’t be partial service. They say the order was prepared and that’s why i was charged with cancellation fee. If so they should have contacted both sides and check the issues and deliver the food which was prepared according to zomato. If i had opted cash on delivery, what they would have done? Just because i paid the amount in advance, i’m facing this injustice. Zomato service is in bearable. Now they are not even responding to my emails.
