Zomato — charged for the food not delivered | |||||
Order ID [protected]. I had placed a prepaid order of sweets worth Rs 676 from Zomato at 5:43 pm on Jan 3 '19 pm and was expecting the delivery in 20-25 minutes. To my surprise, I learnt after waiting for 40 minutes that my order has been cancelled and the amount is seized as the cancellation policy towards food delivery because my phone was unreachable and the boy was unable to contact me. It is completely shocking that why a delivery boy had to call for an order where the address was clearly mentioned and a delivery happened in the morning too at the same address against a cash on delivery order. I am very distressed with this kind of harassment I had to face after so much of begging and pleading even after knowing that the cancellation reason (phone unresponsiveness) is absolutely lame. I asked them to at least deliver the product back in Om sweets and that's also declined. I offered for bearing the delivery charge but of no avail. The company with the help of their delivery boys are running a racket of harassing the customers with their prepaid orders. I am assertive that had this been a cash on delivery order sincere efforts would have been made for delivery but just because of a prepaid order I have been harassed to this extent where my refund is seized and order delivery back to the restaurant is also not happening. This is not the first case where Zomato has behaved in this manner with its customer. It is truly disturbing I had ordered sweets worth Rs 600+ and now the delivery boy have a good time relishing the deserts Was this information helpful? | |||||
