Zomato — no refund received for cancelled items on oct 28 | |
On Oct 28, I placed a prepaid order (order id: [protected]) with Silver Coin Restaurant. The restaurant cancelled one item from the order and despite my insistence of having the money credited back into my bank account, the Zomato executive on chat chose to offer me a promo code. Two days later, on Oct 30, my OnePlus phone was stolen (I have an FIR, which I can share) and I don't know if the person who stole my phone deleted my Zomato account. I then got a fresh SIM issued in my old number, and when I installed the app on my new device, I didn't see any of the previous order details or history. I have since then been trying to use the promo code, and every time I use it, I receive an error message stating 'the promo code is invalid'. I have raised the issue with Zomato through my registered email id. And they have keep insisting and telling me that the code is valid on my phone number. But the only options to login into Zomato are through Facebook, Google and Email, all of which require an email id and not a phone number. When I used the Zomato account on my phone to chat with an executive and shared my problem. The executive said that while my number was the same, the promo code is for another account. After exchanging a zillion emails, Zomato finally agreed to issue a fresh promo code on Nov 17. The code was to reflect in my account in 24-48 hours. It has been 8 days and till date I haven't received any promo code nor has the issue been solved. Was this information helpful? | |
