[Resolved]  Zoom Car — damage fee charges incorrectly

Hi team,

This is the 4th time i got a mail like this.

This e-mail is with reference to the booking made by you with zoomcar through company's webpage/mobile app with the following details -

It has come to our attention that the car has been used in excess of the paid rental amount and in accordance of the agreement duly verified and acknowledged by you, you are liable to make payment of ₹5096 to the company. Please note that failure to make payment of the due amount will render you liable to civil proceedings and the company would be entitled to recover the due amount by attachment of your property (Movable/immovable) or otherwise. Further, willfully declining or making delay to pay the above said outstanding amount could also subject you to criminal proceedings.

We therefore request you to make payment of the aforementioned outstanding amount of ₹5096 within 5 days of this mail, failing which we shall be constrained to initiate against you civil and criminal legal proceedings as are warranted by law for recovery of the due amount. Please note that in accordance with the member agreement displayed here, duly verified and acknowledged by you, the company is entitled to recover all costs incurred in initiation of legal proceedings.

Hi,

As i said several times i didn't do any damage to the car, other co travelers also agreed with the same. The owner of the has been fooling you and trying to fix his own damage with my money and which can't be acceptable. First of all if you did any investigation then why didn't you involve me in that, and most importantly i was told the rear view mirror has been damaged, how can a person damaged a rear view mirror without touching it i have no idea.

Anyway again i am asking you for a copy of your investigation which i asked several times, if i find anything that proves i did anything i would be happiest person to give your money back. Or else as i am living in a civil society i would rather choose a harassment proceedings against you.

Guys this is the forth time i have been getting this mail, please either share some investigation detail, (As i told several times before that we didn't do anything to the car. Or else please stop sending these and please talk to me directly. It is my kind request. Most importantly i am not that rich guys, i can't pay what i didn't do. So please take necessary action and stop doing harassment.

We understand your concern here. We did have a check on the damage charges and have validated the same. We find that the damage charges are valid. We are sorry Mano, we will be unable to reverse the damage charges levied on the booking. Hoping for your kind understanding in this regard.

Could you please let me know what kind of validation you have done, please send me a copy of that, Please stop sending me those notice mail, it is really devastating. As I told several times, I didn't do any harm to the car. Again I am not that rich to pay 5000 without doing anything. You can't harass someone like this. Please send me a validation copy and as well as what kind of damage I have made, and how much you are charging for that, everyone should know that. This is the 5 th time I am getting this mail. Please send me the proof or post the proof over here.

Please take necessary action guys. It was not a valid reason.
