On 27th November, I made a booking (booking IDJPSNCC7SG) from the ISRO layout. The booking was made to drop a family member to the airport.
However, when I received the car, the key was missing, and the car was in extremely dirty condition even though Zoomcar claims a 32 touch-point cleaning which was clearly not done.
I had to wait an additional 30 minutes on the road for the keys, which were finally delivered to me by the owner of the vehicle.
Since I was already late to start the trip, I immediately checked the app for the start trip checklist, but the only option available was the end trip checklist.
I messaged Zoomcar support to provide me with the start trip checklist but did not receive any help.
I continued with my trip and immediately filled up the fuel tank with 600 rs worth of fuel.
The fastag of the car was also blacklisted so I had to pay 210 rs out of my pocket.
Once I completed the trip and filled up the checklist, I received an email stating I have to 2800 rs additional for fuel (As per Zoomcar support, the car was on a full tank when I received the car) I disputed the same and their only response was asking me to upload pictures from the start trip checklist. When I told them that I was not given an option to fill up the start trip checklist, they stated the same automated response over and over again
As per Zoomcar support, since I did not fill up the checklist it was automatically filled up by Zoomcar. However, they never gave me the option to fill up the checklist and they auto-filled it without my consent.
Today I received a message from the Zoomcar legal team stating they will take legal action against me and will charge me a fine of 5000 on top of the already fake charge of 2800.
During my repeated emails with Zoomcar support personnel, I ask them to contact the owner of the vehicle to confirm the fuel readings, but this was not allowed by them.
