[Resolved]  Zoomcar — No Refund from ZoomCar - Car Broke down at the start of the trip and returned the vehicle to them

I booked Ertiga from 10:30 AM 30 Sep 2022 to 8.30 PM 01 OCT 2022. My BOOKING ID is JPSN7FH27.

Our car broke down on Sep 30, 2022 around 1.30 PM and we have contacted the Zoom customer car and returned the vehicle, they have promised us that there will be a full refund, since our car broke down at the start of the trip.

We contacted Zoom car on Oct 10, 2022, they told us that there will not be a refund initially as the car was in good condition, then we wanted them to connect with the owner, then they spoke with the owner and told us that the owner agreed that there was a problem in the car and they will be raising a ticket.

Then again today (Oct 12, 2022), the customer support person said the same thing, that the car was in working condition, and no refund will be issued.

We drove the car and it stopped in the middle of the road and people around helped to move the car from the middle of the road and our trip was also cancelled due to this, and we filled the fuel (diesel) of 1000 rupees in the car and after 10 mins the car stopped. The owner also accepts that there is an issue with the car. But, I am not sure who is the backend who gives the statement that the car is in working condition.

I expect Zoom to provide us with a refund of 5202 (Car booking amount) + 1000 (diesel charges proof of the bill is sent to "[protected]" ). For now we have received 1353 as refund. So Zoom needs to provide us with a refund of 4849 .

We are continuously contacting Zoom to get our money back, but there is not even a single update from them.

I tried contacting zoomcar customer service through Instagram, email and calls, but nothing helped me. But then we went directly to the zoomcar office in Bangalore (Golden Enclave, HAL old airport road, near shivoham temple) and we explained all the details with the proof and then they provided us with a full refund. Even all the history of our booking and all our calls and emails to customer service is also linked with our Booking id and they have the record of it, but they are not checking on it properly. And also initially they refused since that office is only for host and we are guest of zoomcar, but any way we convinced them and explained and they provided us the refund.
Zoomcar customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
