DMART has a reputation to be one of the Super Stores where diversified products will be avaialble under one umbrella - One stop solution for all your needs but unfortunately it is not living up to its reputation and commitments on after sales services.
There are many frauds and malpractices happening in the stores which goes unnoticed and in the eventuality DMART is making substantial Profits out of it.
Just on 14th, Valentines day there was an instant where one gentlemen purchases his monthly groceries wherein the tag on Sugar labelled 35 Rs/Kg but the bar coding scanned 36.5 Rs/Kg. Just imagine on an average even if 1000 kgs of sugar is sold, it makes Rs 1500/day and 45000/month.I was a witnessing this entire hit up argument of this gentlemen with the DMART authorities and instread of accepting the mistake and fraud, they were argumentative and giving some stupid explanations to cover up . Just after him two more gentlemen stepped forward on their purchased items wherein on the bar coding scanned higher prices than the tag. There seems to be a big racket involved in this and cannot be shear negligence.
I similarly had one small experience where I had made a purchase for an HD Head Phone and since it was Valentine day got it Gift Wrapped. The counter boy requested not to have it checked as the entire staff and manager of DMART WAS goofed up on the Sugar issue and there was a big crowd with chaos all around. My gift wrapping also took 45 minutes for this small job. I co-operated with the Cash Counter staff boy and did not insist to get the Head Phone checked. Unfortunately the Head Phone turned out to be defective and voice was not audible. I had to rush to DMART for replacement and here the Officer in charge instead of making a prompt replacement blamed me for not getting the Head Phone checked. His stupid reasonng was Electronics goods have no warranty once sold and espicially if its Gift wrapped the liability and responsibility of DMART ENDS. This is contrary to the Refund Policy of DMART. After heated argument, I got it replaced. The fair name of the good company is at stake becoz of such rude and inexperienced staff at DMART.
