I have a Health Insurance policy Ref: P/171113/01/2024/001164 issued by Star Health as a bank customer. I was admitted to hospital and submitted a claim for hospitalization Ref: CIG/2024/171113/0320303. Star health claims that they sent query letter and reminder with regard to my claim to Bank of Baroda Address: Block-G, BKC, Bandra East Mumbai, Pin 400051, Aurangabad address on four different dates on 27.6.2023, 12.7.2023, 27.7.2023, and 11.8.2023. However, BOB did not bother to send the said query letter to me even a single time. Due to non receipt of query, I could not send any response to Star Health. I asked Star Health that why they should send query letter to Bank when they have my mail ID and Phone number. However, Star Health maintains that it is as per their Corporate policy procedure for customers covered under Group Mediclaim. As a result, Star Health has rejected my claim of Rs. 53, 296 and are unwilling to change their decision. I have to file a case in consumer court to get the claim passed. I will make BOB a party in the case since your office has not forwarded the query to me.
My query is that till date why Bank of Baroda has not sent me any of the four query letter/reminders to me?
