Dear Officer,
I was booked on AMD – BLR direct flight 6E823 on 17th April, it got cancelled due to ‘operational reasons’. I had hard time rebooking and interacting with Dottie. Finally through human intervention my rebooking was managed and I was booked in AMD to BOM 6E2046 and BOM to BLR 6E 696 on 17th April.
I was served a cold vada pau in prebooked meal in AMD to BOM flight. Two numbers of vada pau were served, upon first bite I felt that something was not right. However I finished one of the two and left the other one. By evening my stomach bloated and started burping with foul smell. Next day early morning at 4.30 am, I started having loose motions and being diabetic I had hypoglycaemia as I could not eat anything.
I am Professor and Dean at a very reputed design University and had visited to Bangalore to deliver a lecture to students at a Architecture college. I was given saline and medicines such that I could deliver the planned lecture in the afternoon without any issues. But further loose motions and weakness did not allow me to attend post lecture students interaction and I was rushed to the hotel. At evening I had flight back home 6E 6423. Which was delayed adding to my agony. Finally I reached home at 1.00 am and had extreme loose motions all through the night. On 19th I was admitted to hospital here at Ahmedabad and started the antibiotic.
My gut feeling was to sue Indigo. But later I realised that I do not have the time and band width to go through all the trauma which would follow. My request to you is to look in to this issue and ‘sack’ the person/persons who took this decision to serve such food which can make passengers dangerously ill. Also the airline should consider compensating me suitably. But I must confess that I have serious trust deficit on the food which is served on your airline.
If required, I can send a screen shots of all Boarding passes.
Best wishes, hoping that my effort to write this long email does not go in waste or some bot/AI is responding and no human cares.
Thanking you
