My dad was undergoing cancer treatment in AIMS Hospital, Domivali. Dr Sagar Gaikwad was treating him and recommended 33 radiations as part of his treatment. Total expense only for radiology was quoted 360000
We have paid 1 Lacs in advance to start the treatment. and within 4 days they have another scheduled payment of Rs 80000
On 4th day, after a chemo (which has separate payment done in the morning), while my dad went for radiology he has been asked to wait outside.
Reason was another scheduled payment for radiology wasnt done.
When, I went to receptionist, she was not at her place. So I have asked let the treatment continue as patient is waiting after chemo but they denied.
This led to heated argument and my dad suffered alot.
And, I have heard lot of harassment happen by this receptionist for the payment.
There were no reminders of payment, neither it was mentioned if payment isnt done proactively then treatment will be stopped. This is mere the harassment for payment when cancer is ongoing treatment and every penny was paid for all the treatment given so far and also well in advance,
