I transfered some on my stuff from Lucknow to Mumbai (ID: LCK002660) as I was being transfered by my current employer. There were only 4 of my items. I agreed to whatever prices were charged by their team in U.P including insurance etc. I was also promised a delivery date which is now way down in past. Apart from this and inspite of agreeing to whatever final amount was quoted, and also, not to mention the full 100% advanced payment they took, at the time of packing, I was told that I have to pay some other charges today when I am supposed to recieve the delivery. The amount is almost half of the total shifting amount which I have already paid. It was never disclosed to me at the time of packing or anytime before the delivery day today, which is way past the delivery date which was initially promised. When I talk to the people in U.P, they say that the charge cannot be as much as 50% of the total amount, whereas the counterparts in Mumbai say that this is the amount to be paid and there cannot be any changes or reductions. The U.P people said they'll speak to their team here in Mumbai and since then, they have stopped picking up my calls. When I called the Mumbai team, they said that it doesn't matter if someone from U.P team speaks to us, this charge has to be paid by me. Their delivery guy in Mumbai took my stuff back to their warehouse saying that I can come pick it up myself if I want to and hung up the phone post that. This is an utterly unprofessional way of behaving with your customers. If in a matter of 4 items they can do this much, I doubt how much hidden charges a customer will have to pay them while shifting the complete house. For a customer, this is truly contemptible.
