Due to oversight error on part of me as well as amazon, my cash on delivery (Cod) shipment landed in wrong city and could not be redirected to updated address. It returned to the seller unpaid & undelivered. Now when i try to place a new order, amazon says that such users (Who some way or other have rejected cod order earlier) shall not be eligible for cod on orders and must prepay upfront.
This is not documented by amazon.in in its policies or anywhere on the web page and users are thus unaware of such practices.
When you contact customer care, they tell any random reasons including technical error to automatic correction etc and their responses are just not credible.
I believe amazon.in should be little more flexible in its policies and if needed should review the same on case to case basis as there might be some exceptions as it happened in my case.
