Anna University — Regarding placement training fees

Hello, I am a final year student of Hindusthan Institute of Technology. Here, all the final year students have been asked to pay a sum of rs5000 as placement training fees. But what about those who don't wisg for placement, for eg: students looking forward for higher studies or work abroad. Even arrear students face discrimination by not letting into placement training. The college staffs have, said that we students won't be allowed to sit for university exams unless we pay this sum. I truly feel this as a huge injustice. Please consider this issue and help in solving it as soon as possibke.
