Anoos International Beauty School, Somajiguda, Hyderabad — manager on duty (2nd june, 2018)

On 2nd june i had fixed an appointment for a hair cut at 1.30pm the in the anoos international beauty school, somajiguda hyderabad. I have been a regular customer to the salon for the past 5 years.
That day i reached at 1.33pm, and saw that my appointment was confirmed and the hairstylist assigned to my service was gagan. The receptionist asked me to take a seat; and after sometime the manager (Ms. Usma, as she told her name) came and asked what kind of hair cut do i require and also offered water.
After sometime she again came and said that the hair stylist had gone to the third floor and will come after sometime. Already 10mins had passed by then there were not too many customers also. I started sensing something unusual was going on. So i asked the receptionist how long will it take, when she answered that another 5 mins.
That 5 mins became 10 mins and finally after 20 mins or so the manager came back and told me that she won't be able to provide service because the hair stylist was sick and absent.
When i asked her why did she not inform me about this before or assign someone else to do my hair cut, she tried to explain all sorts of things.
They already knew that gagan was on leave; therefore it was their responsibility to inform me beforehand or assign someone else.
Finally they arranged someone (I think he was a trainee or intern) who did a very unsatisfactory job not at all to my satisfaction.
When i wanted to talk to their senior/responsible person to take complaint, they offered my a 20% discount to appease me and cover up their behaviour, which of course i did not accept and paid the full amount despite their unprofessional behaviour and unsatisfactory service.
After sometime, some lady from the management team called me up to apologise. She requested not to pot up the complaint onto the public domain, which i refused and told her that this kind of behaviour from a service provider needs to be made known for their own improvement. I faced a similar situation earlier also, but did not put up any complaint earlier.
I would suggest other customers who faced similar unprofessional behaviour from them should come up with complaints so that their services for other customers improves.
