The volunteer called about case of Divyanshu, a one year old baby who needed medical support. They insisted a lot on donation using emotional dialogues and said that all details can be verified on their website. When I enquired more about the case, following loopholes were found.
1. Initially the volunteer said that the baby is orphan and later she changed the statement to saying that baby's mother was paralyzed after giving him birth and she has not seen the baby since the time it was born. Difficult to believe that a mother has not seen her baby for more than a year.
2. During the discussion one volunteer was mentioning that the child is admit in safdarganj hospital while to senior volunteer said AIIMS.
3. I insisted on a video call to hospital or their office to see the setup. There are valid NGOs who have no problem in doing the video call and I have trusted those organizations because of their openess to this. While Arjee foundation kept saying that I can have a phone call with child's parents (but not video call) later but make the donation as it is urgent.
This is fraud NGO, a lot of their statements and inability to give back up information has proven that. Please take action. Was this information helpful? |
