[Resolved]  Asianet — Cable TV connection problems

Gentlemen, I am a senior citizen, who took ASIANET cable connection in my apartment at 10E, Noel Greenature, Sainik Ashram Road (Near Civil Station), Kakanad, Kochi 682030. I paid Rs.10, 500.00 for the installation, rental and service for one year starting from 20th May 2014. We were assured of reception of 150 channels minimum. Before we requested for the connection, we called up the franchisee a few times to confirm that ALL the ENGLISH channels will be available via ASIANET cable service. We were assured tat all English channels will be available as a regular service. We were advised by the management at this building that the ASIANET service was really terrible, and the building was being provided with VIDEOCON DTH service which will be much better. Yet, we opted for ASIANET, the connection was made on the 21st May 2014. We were getting the ENGLISH channels at the time of the connection and the next day. Subsequently from 23rd May one by one the English channels disappeared, even CNN, HBO FOX and ZEE English disappeared. Today, we called up the franchisee at[protected]. It took a few attempts to get through. The lady who picked up the phone was most discourteous, and was not all receptive. We still have not got back the English channels nor has been there any follow up from the franchisee. While lots of ASIANET subscribers have informed us of the extremely indifferent attitude of the franchisee towards the subscribers, I am writing this mail to you to follow up and to ensure that the franchisee responds promptly to genuine grievances from the subscribers. One can distinguish the lack of culture and civility by talking to the franchisee in this particular case.
