Asianet Satellite Communications — Billing issue with respective to plan name | |
This is regarding the Asianet Broadband billing system. They advertise their plans as postpaid but the billing system is actually prepaid. Asianet calls this as Advance Billing. In Postpaid connection, the customer need to pay the amount only after the usage. This is true for all other providers except for Asianet. Problem: They charge late payment fees for postpaid connection even before the usage period is completed. For example, in a usual postpaid connection, the customer will be charged at the end of the month based on the usage. From that day onwards, there will be a grace period for customer to pay the amount. In case of Asianet they charge one month in advance and on top of that they charge late fee before the usage date is completed. Resolution required: Either Asianet change their plan names from "Postpaid" to a different name or don't charge the customers late payment fees until the bill cycle is completed.
