Two of the salespeople from Bajaj Finserv reached out to me on the 6th of October to offer an Overdraft limit and hid crucial details like AMC and Foreclosure charges and told me that there is only a 1% processing fee which would be added to my account and I have to pay it within 8 Years from the loan start date. If I am not paying in the 8 years then Bajaj will start applying interest on it.
This all sounded too good to be true to me so I told them that show me the contract and all your terms and conditions first then I will process the loan. They told me that they needed my bank details and other documents to generate the offer for me. While sharing the documents I made it clear to them that they should not create a loan account without showing me the terms and conditions on which they agreed. Now they started the process and submitted the required documents so that they can validate the details. On 9th October they called me again and said they needed to complete one verification online and needed 5 minutes of time, when I asked what it was for they told me this was part of the process on the same day I made it clear again that no loan account should be created without my consent on which they said "Sir, don't worry we are just processing it" and then on 12th of October I received a notification that my account is created and I have a loan limit of 23+ lakh on which they already started charging interest on processing fees. First of all, this was created without my consent as no agreement was shown to me till now, when I asked the same with salesperson he told me "Sir don't worry your account is not created yet" (which was a clear lie) and as per the information given to me earlier I should not be paying any interest on processing fee until the end of 8 years.
When I raised a concern with the Bajaj Grievience team explaining how their salespeople tricked me and hid crucial details and how they created a loan account without my consent. They told me that I should be the one to submit call recordings for all the conversations that happened above. They are forcing this loan on me and trying to extort 25, 000 in the name of a processing fee for the loan which I never agreed to and their salesperson sold to me by hiding information and lying about the charges. When I raised the concern with the Grievience team they told me that they have fired the employees who sold me this loan for using unethical practices and giving false information. But they cannot cancel the loan because I didn't record their calls and thus cannot prove that their team lied to me. It's common sense that if you had to fire your employees for using false practices then you should also cancel the loan they started unethically why the customer should submit proof, it's your job to record calls and maintain records. Instead of doing this, they are mentally harassing me asking me for the same details again but not doing anything about it. On the call, your grievance team representative also told me that the person who is at fault is already fired so they cannot ask them any more questions. Was this information helpful? |
