[Resolved] Big Bazaar / Futurebazaar / Future Retail / Hometown — Substandard quality product | |||
We purchased a full bedroom set comprising of a double bed, 4 door wardrobe and a dressing table on 5th April 2015 from Home Town Vikhroli, the delivery of which was in parts ie upto the mid of June 2015 vide SO no [protected] and cust id. [protected]. We have not even used this products for a 10 months now and are facing a lot of issues and complaints namely 1. Cracks in the drawer panels. 2. Bends in the drawer base 3. Breakage of channels 4. Un levelling of bed 5. Bend in the hanger rod etc. A few complaints have been lodged to the customer service of "Home Town"and their people have visited and given temporary solutions like leveling by reversing the planks and fixing additional screws. Despite of our delicately handling the product, it has not been to our satisfaction. We are not been able to keep a book on these shelf's as it bends with its weight. We had invested our hard earned money in the the whole bedroom set in exchange of our DURABLE and STURDY BED AND WARDROBE just because the design was impressive and of course by the brand HOME TOWN from where we were purchased. In our wildest of dreams we did not expect such a substandard product would be sold by them. At least the store executive should have clearly describe the product, especially its quality and durability.We trusted the person who was selling this at your store and bought the same at in good faith. We even painted our bedroom with the matching colour to give an overall appeal to the room. All these are going waste as the products never cease giving trouble. We even wrote emails to Mr. Kunal Thakker and Mr. Sujit Mishra the product managers asking them to meet in person so that we can arrive at a permenant solution. However they showed no interest in meeting and resolving but instead offered to again repair the product. Ongoing repairs have led to cracks in the panels of the drawers and other parts of the furniture leaving it in a unusable condition. Now we are sure that the wardrobe is not strong enough even to hang cloths, keep hand bags or books as the planks bend. All these problems have left me with no choice than to give this complaint in writing and asking for a replacement of the said product with a durable and quality product, failing which, a refund of the money paid.
