Cabbazar — Wrong driver and a car WITHOUT a license plate

We booked a car on 25 December 2022 for our to-and-fro journey from Rajkot to Gir Forest in Gujarat for a 2-day trip on 26 December 2022. I made an advance payment and CabBazar sent me the driver's name and the car registration no. So far everying was fine. But the next day we faced the most unexpected scenario. At the appointed time, the allotted driver did not turn up to receive us; instead, someone else came who had no clue of CabBazar. It seemed the allotted driver had outsourced my booking some other person. And then the most unbelievable thing: This driver did not bring with him the car assigned by CabBazar. Instead, he brought a car WITHOUT a registration plate. How can one drive a car without a registration number, either permanent or temporary? How can we feel safe travelling in the car and the driver, none of which was allotted by CabBazar? We did not want to travel in a car which had no registration plate, not even a temporary one. So we asked the driver to go and immediately called the CabBazar help line. We got no immediate relief, only the assurance that they would call me back 'shortly', which they never did. So we had to make an alternative arrangement for our travel. Since then I kept calling CabBazar for a refund. Every time someone listened to my problem, and promised to get back to me after finding out what had happened. Everytime I called them a new person came on the line and I had to repeat my story to that person. They never called back. Then on the second day in the afternoon I got an SMS saying ''my booking is marked completed by the driver", and "I have to pay the balance amount", even though we had not used their car. It seems my earlier two telephonic complaints to CabBazar had no effect. It also seems CabBazar is not serious about customer satisfaction. After repeated calls to them and asking for a refund, one represenatative had the cheek to say that I had not complained to them as soon as I had noticed the car without the registration no., but waited for more than 2 days to tell them the same, and hence they could not give me any refund. This is pure lie.
