Our office has a Canon 9100cdn colour laser printer. The printer is still under warranty. During the last service visit, the official Canon serviceman broke the front cover of the printer. When we lodged a complaint with canon, they initially refused to accept. A ticket no was then issued on the 8th of August with a promise of call back in 48 hours.
Nothing happened and we lodged another complaint regarding the same issue on 13th of August. The promise of a 48 hour call was flouted once more. Since the 15th of August, I have been calling Canon on EVERY working day, to which I am told that I shall get a call in 2 hours/ 3 hours or whatever suits the service centre's whims, since there is no response ever. It is the same iterative process with the Canon People sweet-talking and telling us they will call back (not even send a service person), and then not talking. This is the way this MNC operates its WARRANTY in the country for products costing Lakhs of Rupees. I have mostly spoken to Akash Thakare who is a Process Associate, he transferred my harrowed calls to his "senior" Rahul Gupta, who is a management trainee. Thereafter I have spoken to the regional head Mr. Rajesh Sawhney to no effect.
Mr. Rahul Gupta (+91 [protected]), and Mr. Rajesh Sawhney (+91 [protected]), Regional head Canon, are conveniently complacent to my information to them regarding complaints on the consumer forum.
It is clear that Canon India is a leading brand that believes in harrowing customers on the warranty for after sales services. Was this information helpful? |
