Dear Sir,

I had bought my CASIO G-Shock Professional Analog-Digital Black Dial Men's Watch - GA-1000-9GDR( G590) from Amazon.in on 21/6/2015 (Invoice attached)

I am a general trainer in a gym and I had saved my hard earned money to buy my dream watch...The CASIO G-Shock. The watch cost me Rs12345/-. A princely sum to pay for a person earning Rs 15000/- as a monthly salary.

The watch worked perfectly fine for the first year. Now the so called "The CASIO G-Shock" is advertised to withstand water upto 10 bar. To my utter dismay the watch didn't last for even 2 rainy seasons. There was humidity build up on the watch glass. The seconds hand stopped working and subsequently the hour and minute hands paint started welting off due to the humidity build up. Let me point out that I have not dropped or used the watch in water depths like swimming pool etc.

I approached an authorized watch shop M/s Maru's world time, S.V. Road, Opp Shoppers Stop, Andheri (W), MUMBAI - 56. I gave the watch to be repaired but they got back to me saying that the Casio India company has quoted Rs 10000/- as charges to get the dial changed. I mean this is really ridiculous. I had to return back home dismayed, as it was out of bounds for me to shell that huge sum (almost the cost of the complete watch). I swore never to buy a CASIO watch again.

What sense does it make to buy such a costly watch which doesn't last even the normal rains.

I now request you to please make good the loss that I have suffered by repairing my watch without any additional charges. Else, I would lose my faith in a esteemed brand called 'CASIO'.
