Mr M. Shanmugam Age.80 yrs, BDO Rtd. Govt. Pensioner was taking treatment at geriatric dept for urinary infn.
He was admitted in CMC casualty again on 27.09.21 and passed away on 05.10.21 at O5 east bed no. 12A.
Complaint : 1. Initial amt. Rs.64000 was sanctioned after 7 days from insurance. ( Initial delay in informing insurance from your side) In this, 50% of the amt was only spent for treatment (as informed).
When the patient passed away despite having balance insurance amt. we were asked to pay Rs.33000/- for taking the body out otherwise asked to wait till final clearance come from insurance. So we paid the amt to avoid delay in taking the body out
This amt was cleared later by insurance on follow up and reimbursed. Is it correct?
2. Death intimation was not forwarded by your concerned dept. to Vellore corporation, Sathuvachari office in time. Information not reached there till 13.10.21 even after 8 days causes further delay in getting death certificate and to complete other pension formalities
I was asked to go to multiple offices when contacted MS office to B10/B52 regarding this.
