[Resolved]  UIDAI — Aadhaar authentication

It seems that whatever UIDAI does ends up in a spectacular mess. After running in circles for nearly three months, I finally got my precious but apparently worthless Aadhaar card. But now a new problem has cropped up. On the back of the majestic Government-of-India issued card, there is a line which says: 'To establish identity, authenticate online'. So dutifully I went to the UIDAI website. I spent nearly two hours trying to find out how this exercise is done. I was given exhaustive lessons in the benefits of authentication, the idea behind it and all the goodness that will be showered on me if I authenticate, but not a word about how I could do it! Hats off to UIDAI and the great brains behind it!
