Commercial Manager, Southern Railway — Duplicate ticket issued under my name

On March 25, 2017 I travelled from Ernaculam North to Chennai by Chennai mail in First AC. The tickets were booked by my brother in Bombay for me. TTC while checking my credentials in the coach I was riding, mentioned that I have two reservations under my name. That was news to me as I was not aware of it until he brought it to my attention. I asked him if he can issue a cancellation advice so I could a refund. I am a senior 72 years old and having worked in the hospitality industry, these kind of incidents are common. I have always resolved such issues for customers after verifying the PNRs. I am sure you may do the same for me and by asking the TTC on duty in that coach on March 25, 2017. The affected PNRs are [protected] under Cabin A and the [protected] is the one I travelled in cabin C, lower birth. The TTC was amused but had a wry smile and also suggested that there was a lady who is looking for a lower berth. No one showed up and may be she took my other berth in Cabin A.

I hope your intervention in this matter with amicable solution will save me double payment that was made to Indian Railways.
