Cheated by ICFAI University
My name is Vandana sharma on 25-May- 2007 I got enrolled into an MBA program from ICFAI under enrollment number MBA2095481. My situation went bad and wanted to discontinue the program... on 20-May-2007 i wrote them stating that wont b able to continue this... but they denied stating that u'll have to continue this as I've signed the contract... what contract are we selling education... i am from a very poor family and cannot afford to continue further studies... but who understands... I paid Rs. 10000 as advance payment and for remaining fee I opted for EMI payment of fees of Rs. 4323/month for 18 months. I had one cheques at the time and the sales guy from ICFAI forced me that that particular day was the last date and told me that I can give one cheques for Rs 77,814, as a promise note that i will replace this cheque with 17 cheques for Rs. 4323/month within a month.

This is such a Stupid things in such a Democratic country this things has to be taken care by Hon. Supreme court of India and provide justice to the students and penalized these types of organizations.
ICFAI is the money making fake university. Beware of It.

I agree with you all, I have taken admission in july 2006, not able to complete een one level, every time this people failed me for 17 or 20 marks.
In old course they hav ekept QM as a tough subject once, some ow I cleared they suddenly changed the syllubus and removed QM and introduced C as a new group.
Is it we are wasting money and time with ICFAI, My friend have taken admission with me in Wellinkers and they have clear there PG, and i amn stuck like this.
we have no base to know how they give marks, and if for distance education the paper is so tough, how a working people will clear this course.
I request to DEAN of ICFAI ro look in to this matter, if they have base to failing us we need to see our papers after checking also we need question paper to be taken to home so can come campare with fiven answer paper.
With this kind of frastration students will leave corse half a away and will join some other institute.
I am married girl and with so much of work pressure at home and office studying and giving exams. It is one more presuure on me. Can some help me on career path . Should I leave this institute and joined some other Please help me. |

| I agree with u as im facing the same problem. ive enrolled for the MBA program in July 2005 but im still stuck up in the third section. They r not passing students with the intention of sucking money in terms of exam registration fee. icfai is pathetic im repenting by enrolling and would not recommend it to any body. So friends beware... |

I do agree, that icfai is taking large amount from us but they are cheating us like that, not giving pass mark in exam .so that they can fetch examination fee again.

it s all true...
it is just a money making orgnization and nothing more then that. they take money but they hardly bother when its the time to refund your money. I wanted them to refund my internship fee that they took at the initial stage, i mailed them so many times as suggested by my coordinator however that didnt help at all and when i took admission they told me that its a 18 months course, the coordinator maniupulated the compelete information mentioned on thier prospectus but later on i came to know that its not the 18 months course but a 3 yr programe. so guys and girls be aware before you enroll yourself in this orgnization .

We enroll into a professional program and choose an Institution for its quality and content. The other issues being referred to in the blog are deplorable for sure, but do not warrant use of demeaning language. Remember you are referring to a University, which has set high educational standards. It’s some students who are failing to surmount the set standards. I hope real issues be highlighted direct to them for clarification. |

Course brochure of any institute contains information at macro level. Specifics are indicated as applicable. May be you missed out the fine print. And in the end, is it the qualification you are aspiring for or just cribs. |

Did they ever say Icfai University, Hyderabad? I always hear Tripura or Dehradun, which are of course recognized by UGC, as can be seen from approval documents. You say you got certificate and then saying time is wasted is contradictory. Do not blot the blog. |
| Maddy! So you are spilling beans for no fault of theirs. You have defaulted on financial commitment, for your reasons but expect them not to resort to recovery. If you were serious, you could have properly communicated to them prior to default. I am sure any financial commitment invites such action from the other end. |

I see that it is your failure that is speaking and not the real issue. You have joined with a commitment. Continue putting best efforts. Don’t murmur. Assess your own preparedness. Suggest to yourself that the course is tough and you have to conquer it. |
i'm aslo suffering in the same ship bcoz they people jst blvin in money making as the thing comin in the starting stage of MBA dat is same vch v hv learnt in our college life bt still dey people failing again n again even in our city dere r so many branches of icfai out of dem only 5 people passed out hw cm its psble?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I joined icfai in october 2008 for my BBA and everytime i write my exams and wait for my results...then its a disaster for me because the mark sheet shows i have just two in one of the subject but to be honest i wrote the exams so well that i expected to score the highest mark...i even approached the college and the branch office who denied to show me my papers or just do a re-evaluation...these people are so insane all they want is money in one or the other way. i also think they are doing all for making people by asking to pay the exams fee for every two. i regret joining ICFAI coz it really sucks and people working there have shame to participate in such acts...be honest coz one one day one of ur family member may fall into the same trap.

| I was thinking of applying for Icfai's course but then thought of surfing the net to get some information. The information I discovered was shocking! ICFAI is a money sucking machine and not even entitled to be qualified as a university. It is not even recognized by AICTE! From what i have learnt, it fools students and forces them to pay large sums of money on false pretext. Many students have registered complaints against this fraud university and I fully support those students who have been fooled by this so called university. |
