[Resolved]  A Star — non refund of excess paymentby dealer

Dear Sir,
Subject:- Request to refund of Rs. 9771/- in light of decrease in price of A StarVXI(M) Car purchased on 10.2.2008 reg.
Your Ref.:- Dated 23.01.2009 received through letter No.
MSIL/CRM/AE107 dated 31.01.2009 of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

With reference to the above, it is submitted that the proposals offered vide your above referred letter dated 23.01.2009 reg. providing addl. services instead of refund of Rs. 9771/-[ Rs, 4, 10, 097/ paid upto 10.12.2008 - to Rs.4, 00, 326/- reduced w. e. from 08.12.2008 ] or providing the accessories are different from the discussion made during the meeting on 10.12.2008 with Shri Rakesh Prasad Singh, Managing Director and Rahul Sharma, Area Manager in the chamber of Shri Singh.
The Invoice dated 04.12.2008 was issued by your side without my consent or written application. Hence, Mr. Singh, Managing Director was agree to compensate the excess amount either through returning the amount in cash if refunded by the Maruti Company He also told that if the Company do not refund the excess amount, M/s Vaus Automobiles will provide accessories like Seat cover leather of Rs. 8990/- and other items totally valued @ 9771/-. In addition to the above matter, also Mr.Rahul Sharma agreed to provide Body cover @ Rs.980/- at the time of advance on 01.12.2008. They also told me to give written application for refund of excess amount for perusal of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. And accordingly I submitted the same on 11.12.2008 to you.
In this connection, it is fact that I handed over to you a undated cheque bearing no. 840627 Rs. 60, 097/- on 04.12.2008 cleared on dated 13.12.2008 form my account. The said car has been & delivered to me on 10.12.2008 bearing Vehicle ID MA3EPDE1SOO104520 Customer ID [protected] whereas the price reduction was w.e.f. 08.12.2008. On the assurance given by your officers, I let the cheque to be cleared otherwise I would have stopped the payment on 11.12.2008 till the settlement of the matter.
In view of the above, it is once again requested to look into the matter and re-consider the matter after physical hearings to satisfy your valued customer and the entire issue may be closed at the earliest.

A star — serious lapse by workshop

My maruti a star which met with accident wb 06a 0498 and given to dewars garage kolkata for necessary repair was returned to me duly redone by workshop people after a month without taking a test drive . I found to my utter su surprise the next morning when I was going out in the car that the steering has become free suddenly in the middle of the road and I was on the verge of another life threatening accident .

As I immediately made a complain to the dealer/company office, I got an astonishing reply from a very senior manager that as the car was there for amonth in the workshop for the complain in the left side of the car, they have nothing doing for the steering and it is not their responsibility. I have personally seen that the car under repair in progress when the dashboard and steering wheel was not in their place at that time. I have suffered a severe dilemma and state of shock at the time when the car suddenly became standstill in the middle of the road. Next day the mechanic came to my garage and found the defect and repaired the car steering. I received a phone call saying sorry sir the next day.
